Welcome to my first blog on my new website. There is still a lot of tweaking to be done here so if you find yourself on a half finished page, or something that looks a little odd, just think of it as a work in progress!

Three years ago I replaced my full time job with a part time one so that I could paint more. Two years ago, the part time job went and I have been painting ever since. The year of 2012 has been wonderfully full with 18  exhibitions under my belt including 5 solo shows.  Painting  landscapes continues to be my passion in an attempt to create a sense of time and place bringing the beautiful outside inside to go on your wall or mine.

Linked in, facebook and twitter have all proved useful tools for gathering and sharing info on upcoming exhibitions. I stumbled upon the Canadian website www.artpromotivate.com which has proved to be a mine of helpful info for artists like myself who grew up without computers  so scaling the learning curves of  technology in all its most frustrating forms!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those American Artists who have contributed so generously to discussions in linked in groups particularly artbiz where I have gleaned all kinds of helpful tips and thanks to you for being interested enough to read my first blog!
