Today we are having a meet up at Annie Smyth’s studio in Bickleigh. As Co- founder of Exe Valley artists it has been good to see this group expand and we will be holding our first joint exhibition in September at OHSCC in Tiverton. We have had some great posts on our Facebook page and over the next few months we will prepare our publicity for Devon Open Studios which takes place September7-22. All over Devon peeps will have the chance to visit remote and fascinating Artists’studios many to be found off the beaten track and in areas of outstanding natural beauty. Watch this space!

I love Devon, where I live, but it was on the Isles of Scilly, I found the smallest gap between Heaven and Earth: These lovely unspoilt islands have defined me as an Artist, painting colourful and thoughtful landscapes, transforming changing skies and shifting tides on to canvas. It is here I try to unravel my relationship with nature and capture the essence of a special place.
